Kurt didn't throw wobbly passes until he injured his thumb. Goff on the other hand has small hands. His small hands effect his throws in the rain in Washington a couple of weeks ago. Maybe Goff needs to start wearing gloves to get a better grip on the ball. Both of his TD passes last night were wounded ducks.
I wonder if Goff is really the long term answer at QB. Bryce Perkins is a poor man's Lamar Jackson. I think Perkins may eventually replace Goff if he clean up some of his throwing mechanics. Perkins has prototypical size and can run. Has a good arm. If he can pick up McVay's offense.....can you say QB controversy next year? Especially seeing Goff struggling in the red zone.
Having a mobile QB who can run the boot leg or scramble around in the red zone can opens things up..
