...how much better the helmet looks on TV when the sky is darker?
I noticed a big difference this passed week in DC. The sky was dark & cloudy all day, and the blue really looked awesome. On the other hand, I really don't care for how the blue looks on a bright sunny day. The sun seems to make it look almost a deep powder blue from some angles....
Anyone else notice that? Or think I'm blind in 1 eye, and can't see out the other...?
Absolutely RAMbler! I noticed that too and posted about it a while back. The helmet's chrome undertone makes it get lighter and darker depending on the lighting. The darker blue looks better than the lighter blue. The helmets looked way better in DC than they did in Buffalo or Sofi.
That chrome finish makes the helmet more like a mood ring IMO.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
