It was the right call imo.
Vikings Defense was doing well all game.
Vikings Running game was doing well too.
It was a good play by the crashing seattle LB collapsing the hole.
In hindsight, the RB might have been able to bounce it outside, but if there was an end zone cam, I think the back saw daylight in that hole for a brief millisecond and committed to the dive. The game camera angle isn't the best to judge what could have been from the RB perspective.
Even if you are up by 5 or 8... you don't want Russell Wilson to have the final drive. He's just too good in that situation.
So if you sealed it by going up 2 scores, you avoid that scenario.
I think if the Rams were in the same position, I would go for it as well. Control your own destiny vs having Russell Wilson do it for you.
