The really big DL like him it's all about their fitness. And I see no reason to think he's going to be fit and ready. Maybe next year. But boy would I love to be wrong on that.
What's the connection with the way it went down and whether he'll play well? Are you thinking it means he's just playing for money?
Another perspective is that the Rams found a counter precisely because they feel he will be a big cog for the defense when he does return. An elite run defender on the DL is nothing to sneeze at.
