Apparently Robinson's issue is treatable. I deduced that from this McVay quote, where he says he'll get treatment ...

“He’s able to partake in meetings, get treatment, be around his teammates,” McVay said. “We’ll look forward to getting him back at some point this season. When that is, I don’t know specifically.” [www.al.com]

That same article says that Robinson had a heart condition, not a heart defect. And although Robinson's specific condition hasn't been revealed, a second article offers this hopeful information: "A very wide range of medication is available for the majority of heart conditions." [www.medicalnewstoday.com]

So ... if Robinson had a heart condition that was successfully treated by one of the many medications available to treat heart conditions, perhaps his condition has improved to the point that he can safely play football?
