The last time Brown played a full season was 2016 ... when he rushed 18 times for 39 yards and caught 3 passes for 46 yards. That was 1.3 touches a game.
In 2017 he missed 5 games.
In 2018 he missed 4.
And in 2019 he missed 2.
People are concerned about Boom getting hurt 2 years in a row - and I get that - but Boom at least got hurt starting. Brown was Gurley's backup. In the 37 games he was available from 2017 thru 2019 he had 175 carries and 16 catches. That's an average of 5.1 touches a game. And despite that meager workload he still missed 11 games.
(And although it looks like Brown will be able to play with his broken pinky it's still another injury. I hold my breath every time he touches the ball ...)
