With the Woods, Kupp and Ramsey contracts signed our cap

September 19, 2020 12:41AM
I think the Rams must have some idea of what next years overall Cap will be, to be happy signing all these contracts.

Over the Cap's salary Cap Calculator which is working on the '21 Season Cap being the base of $176M means the Rams are $23M over without Woods contract accounted for!

Year------Total Liabilities Salary-----Cap (Projected)-------Cap Room
2020------$197,160,238---------------$204,882,602----------$7,722,364
2021------$199,461,058---------------$176,000,000--------($23,461,058)

From RamsWire:

If you’re wondering how the Los Angeles Rams have afforded to sign Jalen Ramsey, Cooper Kupp and now Robert Woods all in two weeks, don’t ask the Rams. Even they have no answers for fans who are asking on Twitter how it’s possible. After Woods’ four-year, $65 million extension was made official on Friday night, the Rams sent a hilarious tweet saying they have no answers to questions about the salary cap. That’s probably because it’s not Kevin Demoff, Tony Pastoors or Les Snead running the Twitter account. Prior to Woods’ extension, the Rams had about $7 million in cap space for 2020. It’s unclear how much of that Woods will take up, if any more at all considering he was already under contract.
