The Rams signing Robinson in the first place told me all that I needed to know about how they felt about Gaines and SJD coming into the season (particularly against the run).
Assuming the 8-game issue is correct, though, I believe that most of our division games are backloaded. If SJD/Gaines work out, Robinson will be depth. If they don't, he'll be a fresh replacement.
They initially signed Robinson to replace Brockers. Then getting Brockers back, I assume they will both play multiple spots.
Meanwhile reports out of camp so far indicate that SJD is killing it. Reported in fantastic shape and looks very good in action so far.
This could mean that when they get Robinson back, they will have a lot going for them on the DL.
