Interceptions for a veteran QB (albeit one who still gains to benefit from experience) in camp don't amount to much for me without context.

Suppose you have a good baseball pitcher who works on a new pitch during the off-season. Would you suggest that he waits until the LCS to figure out that Aaron Judge is gonna murder it? Of course not. He tries it out in spring training - preferably against Judge. Maybe it works...maybe it doesn't...maybe it needs to be tweaked before it works. But it doesn't matter because it doesn't hurt the team in spring training.

I'm not mad at Goff if he wants to see what all the hub-bub is about by challenging the likes of Ramsey or new coverages that Staley wants to show him. He isn't going to learn anything if he doesn't try, right? Let him cut his teeth in practice - it can't hurt.
