I don't hate him or anything. It's just that when you're a depth player you have one requirement: be available. He's not been available. And it's a shame too because last year the team would have fed him the ball. They were looking for someone to do that with but he just couldn't hold up.
So I see no reason to think he's going to hold up this year.
Also, he's at a disadvantage vs Akers and Hendy. I love power backs, but McVay definitely favors speed and big play ability. You can see that in the two backs he's drafted. Both those guys are excellent receivers. And before someone tells me that Brown has hands, which I am aware of, it's not just hands. It's body control and RAC, threatening big plays that you want. Brown is none of those things.
I'm sure he'll make the roster but that's about it. We'll see though, I mean the great thing about following a team like we do is you get to enjoy watching players exceed expectations.
