Sunset 3D? Trying to get too cute is what got the Rams into this "new look" mess in the first place.
Keep the horn a solid yellow with a curl. Simple and iconic.
I agree with you but I keep being told we are too old and they didn't care about our opinions as they were "targeting a younger demographic". Like that's supposed to make it ok to screw up the uni!
They say screw the older fans who have been LOYAL for DECADES, buy tons of merch, travel to the games, have season tickets for many many years, they want to to attract the kiddies so they can be fans for years to come!!! Alienating your biggest fan base is a recipe for disaster and guess what this uni redesign is\has become...a disaster!!!
So I guess they got the results they "expected" as I also have been told that Demoff KNEW there would be backlash from a lot of fans but he didn't care. Instead, he'd rather troll us on twitter and message boards! Well done Mr. Demoff.
Great times!!!
They were targeting a younger demographic is horse malarkey. ALL teams are interested in broadening their fan bases but you don't see the other teams going all ga-ga stupid like the Rams just did in order to appeal to a younger audience. I guarantee you that selling PSL's and the luxury suites is not about targeting a younger audience but it's about whoever has the money to buy them. No other team has butchered their logo, helmet, and uniforms the way the Rams just did... and then dare to call it progress.
Very well said Mama. I didn't buy the "younger demo" argument either. Money is the bottom line and that is exactly why I won't spend one dime on the new stuff and everyone else who dislikes the uni should do the same. Protest with your wallet!
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
