They had them in the infield. Interesting story about those birds. They were offspring of the famous flock from the Hialeah Part race track. The owner of that track was a shareholder in the Hollywood Park track. He made a deal that he would bring some of his Flamingos to Hollywood Park if he could gain a seat on the board of directors. It was granted and the rest is history. The Flamingos were the last to leave after Hollywood Park closed down. Apparently it's not easy to round up a flock of Flamingos.
Sort of like the North Hollywood Chickens.
