Do they think we are stupid?
They're banking that most of us are.
In contrast, I don't know why some people think this automatic anti-player attitude is
smart.
I think the players have legit concerns.
It's not automatic attitude of anti-player or anti-owner issue ....it's a get your $#!T together issue and quit pointing fingers
And so according to you it;s automatically the players who are doing that.
Not the league. Or not both of them. Automatically the players. Including guys like Goff, Hekker, and Donald, who all of a sudden are now just huckster union patsies...?
There is no league without the players...and the NFL exists because of a collaboration with the players. That's just set in stone with the CBA and the union and other institutions.
I hear a solution. Drop the pre-season games and allow for the 21 day acclimation period, as recommended by the outside medical experts the league hired.
What is a GOOD argument against that?
....
Where do you see that at all?? Where??? Don't know how you come up with that at all???
My question is why is this ALL on the NFL? How has the NFLPA at no fault here when they've had months to get some simple protocols in place before training camp...This is not all about the 21 day acclimation period, don't let that fool you. The NFLPA has been pushing to eliminate the preseason games for a few weeks( plenty of articles about that out there to read about it)now and this just seems like a ploy right now in disrupting it...color me jaded by the ironic #WeWantToPaly movement that's all
Is this really about “safety” or is that just all about money like it always is?

Remember, I didn't say it was all ON the NFL. I didn't say it was ON anybody. I did say the players have a good argument and I don't dismiss their concerns. In fact I don't put this ON anybody--I think it's just competing interests and the difficulty of settling that. However, having said that, I also don't believe that 2 pre-season games are worth this kind of hassle, so on that anyway, I side with the players.
But if you're going to call things a "ploy" you are effectively dismissing legit safety issues, and questioning the sincerity of the players when it comes to safety issues. I don't personally ever do that.
To me? Of course it's about safety.
Questioning someone's motives is a standard way to discredit them and reject their concerns. (I don't do that with the league.) And really, there's nothing wrong with that--it's your right. But I do disagree with it.
Just a difference of opinion.
Which IMO we've aired already and gone about as far as we can go.
Agree to disagree?
And have the last word if you want, it's fine with me.
