What is apples and oranges is the reality of who Everett is when compared to your expectation that he's some elite weapon. When a player like him at TE doesn't develop in the passing game what he becomes is a "blocking TE" who isn't very good at blocking. That's where we're at right now.
There is a chance Everett goes off this year, he does have the talent. But for purposes of expectation in this upcoming season your opinion of the guy has limited your ability to see the truth with him IMO.
Lastly it makes no sense to move him so I doubt that's what his tweet was about. But mark my words come the season he's going to be an afterthought in this year's offense.
