A May 19 article in the Washington Post, a poll of Native Americans found that FEWER than 1 in 10 found the name Redskins offensive.
So if fewer than 10% of Native Americans finds the name offensive (and one has to wonder what else they might find offensive), then it is ONLY current Political Correctness driving this train. And the problem is, this train will pass (as they always do) and a new one will for sure pop up.
What bunch of snowflake hand wringers we've become.
I still say the best answer is to just number the teams. Naturally they won't be able to use the number 1, because everyone will want it. And 13 will be out as well because nobody will want it. (And of course the prime numbered teams will be a minority and the even numbered teams will be seen as the more attractive).
