The Rams were actually over .500 those seasons, but they didn't make the playoffs. That is the closest thing to a Rams losing season that I enjoyed. I enjoyed them because they still had the core of the team that George Allen built. They had some sweet moments in both seasons, such as whipping the 49ers and Giants late in the 1970 season to nearly pull out the division and Willie Ellison's 247 yard game and 1000 yard season in 1971. Most of the seasons when the Rams had a losing record were putrid, although 1981, 1982, 1987, 1998 and 2002 had their merits.
