In the NFL, field goal distance is measured from where the kick is made (approx 7 yards behind LOS) to where it crosses the cross bar at the goalposts.

Whether the goalpost crossbar was at the goal line in the old days or at the back of the end zone under current rules.

So, why should measured distance in the CFL be any different?

IOW, it’s still apples to apples as far as distance is concerned, isn’t it? From kick point to crossbar?
