I would certainly value Hendy stepping up big time. It would make the team better too.
And if you look at the way smart teams stack their RBs it seems like they want an explosive guy and a success-rate type. New Orleans was a good example of this the other year when they had Ingram and Kamara both rolling it certainly can work. IMO the key is having a guy you absolutely can depend on. What is funny is when the Saints let Ingram (who was their SR guy) leave in FA their run game dipped a great deal and the offense suffered. Ingram, btw, led the league last season in SR behind that Ravens line.
So way I see it is Akers is the SR guy. He's the one who they know they can depend on to get the required yards when they need them. It just so happens he's got explosiveness too. Hendy should be in that complementary role which should suit him. Of course what could really screw things up is Akers struggling with the playbook so I'm definitely hoping that doesn't happen.
