This also reinforces something I've thought about the 2012 and 2013 Rams which is, while they went 7-8-1 and 7-9, those were pretty solid teams. 16th in 2012 (with SF and SEA both top 3) and 12th in 2013 (SF and SEA top 3 again). Also 13th in 2015 when ARZ and SEA were 1-2. Not to open old wounds but Fisher did not do a bad job overall his first 4 years in STL...
A fact I often repeat.
The 2012-2016 Rams had BOTH a relatively healthy veteran OL AND a veteran starting caliber qb in a total of 15 out of 80 games.
Under those conditions, 7-9 is something of an accomplishment.
