Granted, the team was a disaster that year but as far as rookies during a season with no offseason program before it the Rams actually had decent rookie contributions in 2011. Quinn had 5 sacks off the bench. Kendricks had 28 catches. Pettis and Salas 27 catches each.

What complicates trying to use the 2011 team as a measure is injuries. According to F.O. that was the single most injured offense in the league since 2002. I think it goes back to 2002 because that's as far back as they counted. That's not even counting the defensive injuries, where the Rams started 10 different CBs (most teams don't even have 10 CBs in training camp).

Somewhere recently I read about how the front office and the med staff reviewed 2011 to see what kinds of injuries crop up if you have not had an official off-season. Unsurprisingly it was a lot of soft tissue stuff.

One of the primary focuses of the Rams’ training and coaching staffs is preventing soft-tissue injuries, as well as injuries to the Achilles – which they noticed were a common trend in 2011 after the lockout.
