Didn't Drew Brees state that he supported the protests and the cause that it stood for? I listened to the video myself and I'm pretty sure that he said that. He explained his feelings about the flag and what the flag means to him. I respect that. I always stand for the anthem and respect the flag because of the ideal that it stands for and because I want to show respect for the men and women who have died for us. At the same time, though, I fully supported Colin Kaepernick because his demonstration was peaceful and under our flag we have the right to freedom of expression.
In my heart I've always felt that Drew Brees is a good man and I hope that the people who were hurt by what he said can forgive him in time.
Unless I've missed something, I think Drew Brees supports the fight against injustice.
