I'm ok with it. The new DC wanted to upgrade the edges first and he was an option there round 3. Some risk is fine I think in a draft class and he's the only one I see that way. Rest of these guys look like talented fits and good guys too.
How could y'all be ok with a 3rd round bust?
With this top heavy roster we can't afford a bust at pick 84
Good news is .....he won't be
3rd round picks bust all the time. I believe the hit rate is somewhere between 30% to 35%. It seems to me what they're saying is, since statistically it's more likely that the pick won't work out, may as well swing for the fences.
I don't see them saying any such thing. I don't see them saying it's a hit or miss pick and so be it. From what I see, they believe in the pick and are excited about it. That means they believe he is not a bust risk.
On top of it, the Snead/McVay Rams are way better that 30-35% in round 3. From 2017-2019, they have had 6 3rd round picks. They absolutely hit on Kupp and Johnson. Evans is probably already a starter. That's already 50%. At this point we have reasons to expect good things from Henderson and Long. The only question mark is Noteboom and that's because of the injury--there is no sign yet that they doubt him.
