I predict that Van’s adaption to the NFL will be much like Kupp’s. IOW, like a duck to water. If that’s the case then Van is gonna be getting lots of snaps in his rookie year and they will certainly come at Reynold’s expense rather than from Woods or Kupp.
This Ram passing attack has the potential to be flat deadly. One of Reynolds/Jefferson will be the FOURTH WR. Let that sink in...
Under normal circumstances that might be true about Jefferson leaping ahead of Reynolds. But it is also possible that Jefferson gets held back because they might not have a training camp (assuming they even have a season).
Either way, it amounts to this. If you are going to use 3 receivers, you need at least a 4th, or you are an injury away from using 2 receivers. Jefferson makes 4. He can at least on paper fill in for any of the 3 veterans ahead of him...and there was really no one else like that on the roster.
Plus of course both Reynolds and Kupp are FAs in 2021 so you might as well develop a new receiver now because they won't keep both of them.
