If you watch his games he is often an afterthought, like a decoy, in that offense. And the QB couldn't get through but maybe one or two guys tops on his reads. Generally when they went to him he made the plays too.
IMO he's a good example of how a team can overlook or not fully utilize their talent. Here's a game of his where he's virtually ignored for the first half. At 5:02 they go to him in the redzone and he makes it look easy even with a throw off the mark and the QB's eyes bringing the safety. From that point it's like Trask remembers he's got 12 and goes to him more and of course he gets it done and he's drawing Stingley.
Jefferson isn't a home run hitter wideout but he was underutilized in that scheme and impacted by the QB IMO.
