I agree with you. Im not too upset either, and if it works...great. I also agree about whether Jefferson or Akers would have been available in the 3rd the way it played out. Im not too stubborn to admit they easily could have been gone. I was just not sold on wr as a huge need, and I kind of hoped to see more of what Henderson could do with a larger role. He looked electric at times last year. I still wanted another rb to compliment him, but usually you can get good rb value later in drafts.
we will see how it plays out.
I'm glad that you can admit that Akers and Jefferson may not have been there at 84. The draft surprised me in that more WRs and RBs were taken in the first 2 rounds than I expected. But it makes sense because that was the strength of the draft.
People can differ on how great a need WR was. Once they traded Cooks, I felt it was a need especially since Kupp and Reynolds are both upcoming free agents.
But beyond that, it would have been criminal in my opinion to not draft a WR when it was stated that this class may have been the deepest with great quality EVER! Part of drafting for BPA is playing to the strengths of the draft.
I have the same view of Henderson as you do. But clearly the Rams opinion is that they need 2 starting caliber RBs. I'm gonna have to trust them on this one.
