It's hard to say. Robinson obviously didn't value the QB position so in '85, it probably wouldn't have mattered who they had under center. Trying to squeeze the last bit of life out of re-tread QB's cost the Rams more than 1 SB IMO.
It was complete foolishness bordering on incompetence. I never understood why the Rams organization operated that way.
