I think he might be a locker room issue guy... but from a production standpoint I do think he fits the vet fa profile that teams using RB by committee would look for
I would dig a bit into it
Yeah, Rams need to do their due diligence on the locker room thing. But that’s really my only big concern. Well, maybe his affordability after ‘20. Then again, if he turns in an elite ‘20 season? Isn’t that what we’re all dreaming for? Hoping for from Gurley to the point that they were willing to pay $15M per for? THIS is the kind of problem one wants to have.
If Fournette comes onboard and has a good season but we can’t afford to extend him, wouldn’t we be getting a future 3rd as comp pick?
One last thing. Adding Fournette would remove the necessity of a possible reach by Snead for RB that was less than a perfect fit. More flexibility for Snead in a deep draft is always a good thing, huh?
Man, the possible pluses keep adding up in my mind. Don’t think I’ve been this worked up about a cost/benefit on bringing in a player via trade since the Marcus Peters discussion in ‘18. And Fournette wouldn’t cost nearly as much.
