I'm not trying to talk anyone out of anything. If one gets enjoyment out of scouting hundreds of college players, most of whom will not don the horns, that's up to them.
I certainly agree with familiarizing myself with college guys but usually once I know where they'll be. I watch the draft and get excited about potential Rams but I just can't devote any energy to that when their first pick is so far down the board. Once he's selected though, I'll be able to focus my energy on something a little less hypothetical.
After all the Bradford/Suh early pick battles, I just find it more entertaining to root for the guy once he's actually on the team. Falling in love with some prospect that you think is perfect for the team and then not getting him is too disappointing for me.
