RIP Tom...my best memory of him...

was not in a game, (although I remember many game FG's)... but rather in warmups in the Coliseum. I saw him make a 70+ yd FG once. I want to say it was 73yds BUT my memory ain't what it used to be.

No way to 'know' this but I think that it was his all time longest...(ever kicked, counting warmups)... because of the reaction of the players, and others, on the field when he did it. And I wasn't alone.... many fans were keyed in on Tom during warmups. - JamesJM
