Thanks Dead. Awesome read. Some questions:
Edge class--I'm really not sold on any of these guys. Greenard(I'm a Gator) started hot but in core SEC play dude was invisible. I'm thinking this is just not the year to add an Edge.
1- What WR(s) if any if still available would you take at 52?
For instance, say a Brandon Aiyuk or a Tee Higgins is still available. I love Higgins, alot. Not as big of a fan of Aiyuk. I personally think with so many WRs available, the value is later on in the draft for a WR. That said, Mims and Higgins would be my 2 guys assuming Ruggs, Lamb and Jeudy are gone.
2-Have you considered Ashtyn Davis at 60? With the amount of holes on defense, I have not given a S a thought in the first 4 rounds.
He could provide that Eddie Jacksonish range. Eddie Jackson was an absolute fav of mine that was grossly under-valued and is exactly what I thought he could be and more. I don't think Davis is is Jackson. He isn't as football savvy. Good football player, I like Duggar better IMO.
3-Davion Taylor, LB, Colorado
Thoughts as a later round ILB coverage player? 2nd guy (no name) to ask me about Taylor in the last 3 months. He's a late round developmental guy I would be interested in late day 3. here is my reply to No Name: He played no HS football and only started to play in Junior College. Played 2 years there, then transferred to Colorado. Played 2 years there under 2 HCs and 2 position changes.
So he is raw. Really raw. But I guess he is a track star. Like a 10.51 100m in the Pac 12. So, he can run, but is going to have to be massively coached up. He was listed at 6'-3" and 6'-2", then weighed in at 6'-0 1/2" and 224. I think that is as far as he can go on that tapered frame of his.
Kind of like Scott with the Rams last year. Raw but a STer with plenty of upside. Taylor is a 43 will with ST appeal and plenty of upside. Honestly, I prefer a bigger ILBer like Walker or a guy like Chinn earlier in the draft.
4-Amik Robertson
He would be a pretty sweet slot corner. We have Long projected for that role and I dig the guy, but can't ever have enough CBs especially slot cbs. From my big board:113. Amik Robertson - CB - Louisiana Tech - 5'-8" 187 lbs. - slot corner due to his size. But he is a mean, physical little dude that will bring the fight to you.
Thanks again. Really appreciate you sharing your thoughts.
