With their top two selections- wherever they fall after Snead inevitably moves around- I would go BPA across all OL spots (T, G, C) and across the entire defensive front seven (DE, DT, NT, ILB, Edge). Just my opinion but I would not consider drafting at other spots until their 3rd selection or later. And definitely not a RB or FS.

Specifically I think there is opportunity in this draft to upgrade the LG spot, possibly with an immediate starter. Bradeson, Stenberg, etc. Though it is also possible they could stumble into, for example, a quality RT that puts Evans and Edwards at the two guard spots. Several options could present themselves.

I think Corbett did well overall in his 7 starts but I think his LG is the most likely spot they could upgrade while- with him then as the 6th man- improving their depth.

Well, I wholeheartedly support every word of your first paragraph, 93. Very well said and it gives Snead tremendous latitude, as well.

As to finding a starting LG with our first pick (after the likely tradedown)? I don’t quite share your optimism about finding a player there that would beat out Corbett come opening day. Put another way, I guess I’m a bigger Corbett fan than you are. I was kinda impressed with his weekly improvement late last season after being thrown into the fire after no benefit of Ram OTA’s, camp, and preseason games.

I realize that it takes some faith in Kromer, but I think his young (except for Whit) and developing OL is gonna get the job done in ‘20. I further think that Boom will be the ‘21 starter and they will all continue to grow together for years. So, from a pure ‘need right now’ pov I see OL as 4th behind RB, Edge, and maybe ILB.

To summarize,I could see better need/value intersection falling to our first pick at edge, RB, ILB, or maybe DL.
