I think McVay has zero time for malcontents. There must be something like this behind this move or they would have kept him another year and then moved on.
I, of course, have no idea what influence he might have had behind the scenes, but he pretty clearly was inclined to *pissyness* in re participating in a committee scheme. I think Henderson is the real deal as a runner. My only question is how much of a load he can handle.
