I think it's the right move considering the choices. That said, who thought signing him to all that $$$ was a good idea without checking out the knee. Sounds like Snead...

Gurley was coming off his MVP like season of 2017 when they rewarded him, so the knee was probably fine back then and you can bet he passed any physical they gave him.

Unfortunately he injured it in 2018 and was never really the same.
