Some highlights for those lacking the whole 46 minutes:
Whit’s probably back.
Sounds like Rams are reluctant to extend high dollar FA’s like Brockers, Fowler, and Littleton. This might be the year to bite the bullet on Top Tier extensions, in his opinion.
Did NOT sound like he wanted to restructure Goff’s contract and ‘kick the salary cap can down the road’.
GZ sounds VERY iffy.
There’s definitely gonna be some new faces in the RB room this season.
Snead is high on his existing OL corps. Not that he won’t add a player or two, but still.
Snead absolutely LOVES his WR corps. Says it’s the best that he’s ever been around. But said it’s a helluva WR draft and he has identified at least one WR that would be a good value in every round.
Snead is a huge Micah Kiser fan. Just sayin’
Snead talked about the importance of being on the same page as the new coordinators regarding what’s wanted and needed in new players to be brought in. In fact, he hinted that having that relationship with McVay was a huge part of previous offseason success.
Edit: Snead sure likes the idea of trading down if he can stay in that ‘top 100’ range. I’m thinking we’re gonna see trades down again this draft.
Reading between the lines, here's what happens:
Whit's back
Brockers, Fowler, and Littleton walk
No Goff restructure
GZ walks
They draft another RB
They draft an O'linemen but don't spend big money - or maybe no money - on one.
They draft a WR, probably in the later rounds.
Kiser is penciled in for Littleton.
Several draft trade downs.
It sounds like he gave all the secrets away.
