I think people made light because no body got hurt. Probably not thinking of the fall out from OSHA but I doubt anything mean was meant. As everyone knows, I joke A LOT! As a Firefighter, I have learned to laugh at just about everything. Joe Public would think we were TOTALLY sick and heartless if they heard some of the jokes we make. Jokes are often shields.
