All I meant by my statement is that the Rams can not possibly expect to replace Fowler with a seventh round draft pick. Even if the young man turns out to be the biggest steal in the history of the draft, I would still consider such an approach foolhardy at best, and at worst, downright negligent. Of course you are right that you can't have 53 first round picks on a roster, but seventh round draft picks shouldn't be counted on to be starters in the NFL.

Do you understand me? I'm not bashing the player, it's the idea of him starting that I think is silly.
