Several things here...
1. I don’t think your numbers are entirely accurate. I refer you to dz’s posts on this topic (another thread). He’s all over this issue.
2. The Ramsey extension freeing up money for this year is extremely Un-Demoff like. Dz touched on this but it seems to go in one of your ears and comes out the other since it goes against your agenda. It’s a mistake to ignore this matter.
3. But both of those things aside, my point that the Rams are scrambling to find necessary money still stands. Painful decisions are coming up that will result in starters and valuable depth players departing. Players that the Rams would love to keep if there were no cap restrictions. It’s the very definition of money scrambling.
It’s silly to scoff at the statement that the Rams are scrambling to find money for wanted players. Heck, ALL teams are scrambling to find money. It’s the nature of the beast. The trick is to make the best possible decisions as to which players to keep and which players to let walk. A damage control kinda thing.
