poor OL play affects how and what plays can get called, the type of formations used, the type of protections. And if you have a guy playing on an injured ankle, you have to adjust for that to help protect the guy.
It was just such a mess on the OL last year. Im actually shocked they held up as well as they did considering the constant shuffling, injuries, rookies playing etc.
Facing diversity like this can only help Goff, McVay and the younger OL going forward. At least I hope so.
