I don’t see the emphasis on ‘drama’ here.

I see a HC making coaching moves that he feels will improve his team. No more, no less.

No one is disputing that. That's not an issue. And I don't know what you're using the word drama to refer to, but it isn't what I was talking about.

I was referring to this tendency to try to place some kind of blame on Waldron. I can see why people do it. But IMO if you look at the whole picture, it doesn't add up. And I don't say that because I care either way about Waldron. As I said I know as little about his role as others do (in fact, no one knows--it doesn't get written about so we're just left in the dark). So I am just mucking around examining the different possible scenarios, just like you. I just can't reach the conclusions you're reaching, is all. I don't think hiring O'Connell reflects on Waldron anymore than I think hiring Staley reflects on Pleasant.

And it's a minor issue.

I see the hiring of O’Connell as a clear sign that McVay saw a need for improved Offensive coordinator results

And I don't know why you assume Kromer and Waldron were the coordinators.

McVay was the coordinator. He replaced himself. (And bravo for that because that means self-criticism.)

If you look around the league, it is far from rare for teams to have both an offensive coordinator and either a "passing game coordinator" or a "running game coordinator." That title by itself does not mean they act as THE offensive coordinator.

Heck Shanahan is known for among other things his running attack, including its design. Yet he has a running game coordinator. Do you think that means Shanahan is not the 49ers de facto and actual offensive coordinator? He also has a passing game coordinator. You don't think Shanahan is the real coordinator? You think he delegates that to LaFleuer (pgc) and McDaniel (rgc)?

It's just a title, which can mean different things depending on the team. It's not to be taken that literally.
