Thats fair, but using #1 draft picks certainly increases your odds. Especially at LT. And haven't the Rams been testing your theory for the last 5 years with poor results (Noteboom, Allen, Havenstein, etc...) ?
Prior to this year, the Rams OL had been topnotch, near best in the league quality. And not one 1st round pick among them.
