Yes, many teams split backs - when both backs are a threat - Saints in 2018 come to mind. Gurley looks like a shell of his former self - slow to the hole, inability to break tackles. Brown really doesn't add much to the mix either. Not a great pass catcher, lacks breakaway speed, more of a grinder - easily upgraded.
