I'm either naive or stupid. Maybe both. But... if players respect, like, and believe in what a coach is laying down, and these same players have said they'd run through fire for said coach, then why wouldn't they execute? You execute because that's what you're supposed to do! And when you do, you've done your job whether the outcome is successful or not. And that's all the boss can ask for. Just do what you're supposed to do and do it well. If you're not willing to do that every single time you take the field or if you're incapable, then this is not the place for you. Seems simple to me. Otherwise it's all a sham.
