It must have been based on tape because while they threw the ball a lot once behind by 14+ they also came out throwing from the get go- 16 of their first 20 plays. So it was the game plan, not based on circumstances. And against any good team that's usually a bad formula for the Rams.

I liked the Weddle signing and thought he would probably bring quite a bit to young guys like Johnson and Rapp. Honestly, he probably has. But at this point Rapp is better than Weddle, Johnson will be back next year (and again, he's better) and they should use the $4.25M they will save in releasing him elsewhere.

I'd keep Matthews in a rotational role in 2020. He still plays hard and will make some plays. He's in a position where you can platoon him.
