I agree with much of what you've written here.
Personally I think Goff can be saved, and that Shane Waldron isn't the guy to do it. Any chance Zac Taylor gets fired from the Bengals?
I'm pretty sure we have a 3rd round pick, I haven't seen it recorded anywhere that we traded it. So that's something. We'll likely get another if we let Fowler walk. (We should) With the salary cap we have, it's unlikely we'll be able to make an offsetting free agent signing. We will have around $35 million (with the cap increase) so we aren't out of the market for keeping some of our guys and maybe some vet free agents later in the offseason. Of our 19 free agents, the only bank breaker is likely to be Littleton. TBD on Brockers, Whitworth & Blythe
I'm not going to blow smoke and say a Super Bowl is just around the corner, but I do think we have some solid pieces, better than many teams, But we became too good, too soon, and did it before we could build sufficient player depth. We lost some good coaches. We got desperate. We threw around draft choices to maintain the momentum and have garnered mixed results. This will be an interesting offseason,
