I believe we have a dominant D with the Ramsey addition.
I'm not seeing it from Ramsey. If I'm not mistaken he's allowed several 4th and 30 or 3rd and 20 plays against him and he's usually not close to receivers when they catch the ball. He has to run up and tackle them after they've already gained 10-15 yards. Not sure what he's doing.
The Ramsey effect is similar to the Donald effect. When AD was quadruple teamed tonight, he allowed Fowler to be freed up to make the sack. You wouldn't know that if you only looked at stats.
Ramsey affects the game beyond what stats show b/c QBs have not been throwing at him very much. He's been targeted a lot less than Hill - around 25% less per PFF - in his 7 games. That has a big effect on the coverage.
In addition, the teams coverage sacks have significantly increased since he arrived. Probably 3 of them tonight were coverage sacks.
And finally has there been a team that has given up fewer points than the Rams in the past 7 games? The results have been great. And that's the bottom line.
