I didn't say anything about the contract. That is, I did not side with anyone on the actual issue of an amount or whether he should have signed.
I talked about how the Rams front office (and head coach) trashed one of their own players in public.
It was an old JZ approach, and one which unfortunately worked with a lot of fans.
You can easily differ over contract terms without mounting a public PR campaign against the player. Something that never occurred to JZ.
