I hear ya, but I agree with 2K. There certainly is a hierarchy of fandom. You can choose to acknowledge it or not.
I live in 49er country. I have acknowledged the long time 49er fans that took my @#$%& over the past few years for hanging with their team through the dark times. I hate the 49ers, but I respect the fans whose fandom predates this recent surge. When I watched the Rams game this weekend, I gave a tacit nod to those Cardinal fans who were in the stadium, fully in their gear to watch their team with no playoff aspirations get their asses handed to them. I respect those guys and look at them differently from the guys that just showed up when their team was great.
I don't think its limited to sports but in the military, in the workplace, in schools. The guys/gals that have paid their dues, have always been there, have suffered and toiled from the beginning, are different from those that just show up at ribbon cutting ceremonies or for the "big game"

GSOT = St Louis Rams
Of course....No one is disputing that.
Cleveland, LA, St Louis....doesn't matter to real Rams fans. It isn't about where they play to real fans.
LA Rams fans who jumped back on the bandwagon when they came back to LA are looked down upon by die hards
Absolutely no need to say this other than to puff out your own chest and proclaim yourself a "real" fan. BFD It shouldn't matter.
St. Louis fans are entitled to feel however they want to about the team now. If they are still fans but pissed about the move, that's fine. We don't have to create a hierarchy of fandom.
Yeah, not childish, but it is judgmental..... it is what it is.
Funny thing is, a lot of those "RamBros" guys who sit by the tunnel and get all dressed up and what not actually did not follow the Rams in St. Louis.... they're great fans now, but it's hard not to look at them in a different light.... the true fans spent money flying to St Louis in the Bradford era or at least found a sports bar to watch them during those days.
