Thanks for that
I'm pretty sure that after this last loss it would be hard for Stan not to ask Demoff about assessing this roster
There's so much money tied up in the new stadium. This morning's LA Times confronted the topic, and both LA clubs are having setbacks. In the last 3 years, where the club has made such high profile moves, and had high profile results, the downtrend doesn't help generate the kind of excitement that Stan was intent on creating.
There's still some ire on my part about making the Ramsey move. The defense was not ailing. The offense was, and still is.
Using such high draft capital to acquire a difference maker made sense, and might be buzzworthy, but while Ramsey appears to be a superb player we have yet to see him be the impact player of 2 first rounders. Worse, Peters is churning right along, and making teams pay for going his way.
This stuff aside, the use of trading players suggested by Dz, particularly these players, makes me wince.
The advertising dollars, and marquis name factor attached to Todd Gurley suggests they would want him to continue to be their mainstay.
Not often that Cap, and quality control often meet marketing managers in such a big way; But that sure seems to be the direction.
Add, that a team could count on a first round draft pick to generate some buzz, and that we don't have them season over season, and the future is more perilous for Stan than anyone would be willing to admit around the front offices.
