The rationale for the decline in the OL hasn't only been injury, it's been lack of experience and then injury.
What I'm seeing is that Goff needs a top 5 OL. Without that, we shouldn't expect him to do well. So they need some experience and a bit of luck to avoid injuries.
now it's not only the injures (which I think I showed didn't happen until week 9) it's that they lacked experience now?
Hav and Blythe were going into their "prime" if you will. Whit was getting older but on thing he had is experience.
Leaves Noteboom and Allen-----both second-year starters, not exactly 7th rounders or FAs
and the Rams reporters like Vinny were saying they were young talened, and started off
okay.
I call BS on the experience thing and the injury thing as being the reason for Goffs regression.
The poor play started with Detroit and has gone on for 19 games. And last year the OL
was healthy and experienced.
This year they were healthy of 6-8 weeks and the so-so play of Goff was there
At some point people have to admit that PART of the problem is Goff.
Most of this thread is excuse-making for him. And a never-ending moving of the target
when those excuses are shown to be overblown.
