All those things are gone. Of course, the Oline is what started the process, but it’s beyond that now and he needs help.
That's a good post, but I am isolating one bit. How do you know it is "beyond
that now."
It's
STILL *that* now. And given those conditions it is actually pretty much impossible to determine what is going on with the qb--you can only really say, he is playing under these conditions more or less the way we ought to expect he would.
That is, though we see promise in the individual players, it is difficult to imagine how an OL made up of 3 very inexperienced injury replacements is going to be able to meet tough challenges.
And, an OL like that is going to (1) limit the playcalling in advance no matter what, and (2) expose the qb to tremendous pressure.
And as has been said umpteen times, only a very tiny handful of qbs (and I mean in league history) can still be effective under those conditions.
Here's a factoid: by blitzing a lot (which is what they do)
Quote
the Ravens achieved an amazing 62% Pass Rush Win Rate
62% pressure is just astounding. Seattle rebuilt their entire OL after 2017 because they allowed an unbelievable 40% pressure rate.
